About
Learning Black history changed my life, and THAT'S why I became a social justice warrior! ✊🏼 I was recently featured in a New York Times article about my social justice advocacy work, and that spurred me to launch my Black History & Culture Academy at: https://www.blackhistorycultureacademy.com My subscription-based, e-learning platform includes 20+ courses in: 🌍 African history and culture. ✊🏼 African American history and culture πŸ‘«πŸ½ diversity, equity, and inclusion. πŸ—£οΈ I'm a college professor and was named a LinkedIn TOP VOICE in Education. πŸŽ™οΈ I also co-host The EdUp Experience podcast: https://www.edupexperience. I'm also a published writer, and my most recent writing includes an Op-Ed piece on racial profiling for CNN, that had more than 2 million views on their news website. Most recently I've been working as an instructional design manager, developing online classes for more than 1,000 students at a small career college in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My newest launch is my website directory: Black Women Handle Business at https://www.blackwomenhandlebusiness.com It's a place for Black women entrepreneurs and professionals to network, collaborate and share resources. The site is also a centralized place to support Black women-owned businesses and provide services to amplify πŸ“’ their missions.

"Better, Not Bitter: The Power of Hope and Living on Purpose"

Better, Not Bitter is the inspirational story of a young man growing up in central Harlem in the '80s, the failure of America's criminal justice system, of being vilified by a nation. But during his years of incarceration, Yusef discovered the power of art and faith, and of holding on to the person you know you are, which gave him the strength to survive, and helped him through reentry and exoneration.

What most slave minded black people, who, sad to say are from Africa, do not see is how evil and racist Facebook is and how it protects white supremacy and silences black people who speak truth while they promote black people who post the most self degrading messages towards black people. Fuck Facebook!
