  American Values

There have been many conversations this week, in the wake of Jamal Khashoggi’s killing, about what are the true American Values. The answers to this question primarily depends on the point of view of the person responding.  Most conservatives will respond with altruistic descriptions of what they believe represent American values such as Equality, Goodness of Humanity, Fairness, Honesty, etc. You might get similar answers from liberals.

I am sure that most African Americans will have very different responses to what they believe are the attributes that America truly values. You might hear: racism, greed, hate, injustice, discrimination, bigotry, etc.

Yes, there are anti-Trump Americans that have voiced their opposition to the President, but they are powerless to really enforce any change. Right now, all three branches of the government are controlled by spineless, envious, greedy, prideful, and lazy Republicans that will continue to support this dangerous president as long as they get what they want. The same could be said for the Evangelicals that are supposed to be our moral leaders.   Its uncanny how current American leaders’ actions resemble the Seven deadly sins. I can hear most of you reading this on your favorite screen asking, or yelling ‘How can this idiot say this?” My response is in a form of a question: “Have you been paying attention?”

After all the stunning revelations, we have witness from the current President of the USA, how can 80% of Republican voters still support him. Trump has made it clear that he is a racist and a Nazi supporter.  The Republicans have always promoted themselves as true patriots of America. A country that fought and sacrificed many your American soldiers to fight against the Nazi regime. To have 80% of a political party still supporting him is revealing to what America really values.

As a black person living in America, what attributes do you believe America values?

BTW please vote in the midterm elections.

What most slave minded black people, who, sad to say are from Africa, do not see is how evil and racist Facebook is and how it protects white supremacy and silences black people who speak truth while they promote black people who post the most self degrading messages towards black people.
